Data Scientist Consultant - Immediate Need
AIMRx is seeking an experienced Data Scientist Consultant to analyze marketing data, with a focus on identifying trends and applying insights to develop successful strategies for optimizing campaign designs and marketing strategies. The successful candidate will be accountable for analyzing data, building complex SSIS packages, and updating scoring data. Extensive experience with SSIS and SQL is required. Candidates without experience with SSIS will not be considered. Flexible hours and possibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Using a wide array of skills, candidate must form and test hypotheses, solving complex business problems
- Perform advanced analytics tasks, including but not limited to:
- Develop, write, and present strategic recommendations
- Leverage advanced quantitative analyses of the marketing effectiveness of clients and interpret sophisticated statistical models to segment customer population, to enhance and strengthen retention strategies, and to lift profitability by improving customer channel behavior through marketing drivers
- Organize and maintain research information
- Build, update, and analyze marketing campaign datasets to identify trends and propensities in order to identify new leads
- Create lead scoring algorithms by analyzing data and using results to adjust scoring methodologies
- Participate in brainstorming sessions that identify new marketing opportunities for clients
- Present insights and recommendations to internal and external clients
- Analyze disparate client and third party data to answer business questions
- Create reports using SSRS, Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
- Build complex SSIS packages
- Learn and translate complex business requirements into SQL code and reports
- Write SQL statements and perform database queries and analyses on data
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5-10 years relevant work experience in pharmaceutical field or with pharmaceutical client required
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, MIS or related field required
- Very strong SQL skills, including writing of complex T-SQL queries, development of SSRS and SSIS packages
- Ability to match data from disparate sources (tables, excel, flat files) and combine them into a single dataset
- Experience with SQL fuzzy matching
- Experience with ETL
- Experience with complex data models and large data repositories
- Hands on analytic skills to include data manipulation, statistical analyses (logistic regression, clustering, tree based analytics, etc.), and the environments associated with analytics (SQL skills, SAS, R, digital analytics environments, etc.)
- Ability to manage client relationships, effectively problem solve; ability to analyze problems and produce a viable solution
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
- Familiar with SAS, SPSS and SQL, R, multi-variate statistics, logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, propensity modeling multiple regression
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Ability to explain/present complicated/advanced analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences
- Ability to discover hidden insights or complex patterns through advanced multi-variate data mining techniques on un-structured business problems
- Ability to execute advanced analytic tasks (including but not limited to modeling, segmentation, DOE, forecasting, etc.) and create meaningful analytical outputs
- Research and develop innovative approaches or processes/codes to 1) improve client business results, 2) improve efficiencies, 3) reduce potential errors
- Ability to translate analysis insights into actionable recommendations and strategies for marketers
- Ability to create robust analytics solutions to optimize marketing spend
