Business Intelligence Developer job at Axian

Job Description

This is an experienced software development role that interfaces with the Axian Development Team and its clients on an as needed basis. This position will be responsible of the design, implementation, and stabilization of Business Intelligence solutions delivered to Axian clients.

The Developer must have the following experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is a must
1-2 Years experience Microsoft Report Services and Analysis Services
5+ Years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
2-3 Years experience with other Tier 1 DBMS
2-3 Years experience with ETL Tools ( Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Informatica, Ab Initio)
Experience with other reporting or BI tools a plus
At least 1-3 years Consulting or IS Consulting Experience Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP Skills
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements; programming experience (.Net, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML,XSL)
Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling approaches
Experience with ETL and data warehouse practices and projects
Experience with Object Oriented development methods
Knowledgeable about traditional ERP data sources (i.e. SAP, Oracle)
Experience with both application data architecture approaches and BI data architecture approaches
Proven track record of delivering holistic, scalable, and relevant BI solutions

The BI Developer needs to be able to:

Learn about the Axian BI development methodology
Work independently on client deliverables, but be able to leverage the team methodologies, practices, and knowledge.
Be a self-starter – i.e. Someone who can pick-up and brand new technology and be knowledge about it in a very short amount of time
