About the Role
We are a recruiting agency representing a high-performance proprietary trading firm.
Our client builds real-time data systems that directly power trading and quantitative research. This is not a BI or reporting role — it is core data infrastructure with direct business impact.
You will work closely with traders and quant teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
We are especially interested in candidates who prefer working on-premises infrastructure, value clarity and performance in their code, and have strong instincts around data reliability and system orchestration.
What You’ll Do
Partner with PMs and Quant Developers to translate trading and research needs into reliable data pipelines;
Expand and maintain the internal data warehouse;
Build and optimise ETL workflows using orchestration tools (Airflow preferred);
Improve robustness, speed, and scalability of internal data tools;
Implement monitoring, anomaly detection, and data quality checks;
Manage data entitlements and vendor relationships;
Evaluate and propose tooling for data ingestion, streaming, and management.

Requirements
Strong Python and SQL
Experience building production data pipelines
Airflow (or similar orchestration tools)
Solid data modeling fundamentals
Linux proficiency
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

Salary range:
$100,000 – $150,000
