Summary
The Business Intelligence Consultant establishes a business partnership with clients that includes strategic planning around training and support of client engagements using the Business Intelligence product suite. This position brings to our client multi-housing industry experience and knowledge of analytical reporting concepts, as well as the project management skills necessary to assist Account Reps and clients in deploying Business Intelligence solutions. The Business Intelligence Consultant will be responsible for post-sales training engagements and support in order to increase new primary sales as well as position additional post-sales and service offerings. The Business Intelligence Consultant also ensures appropriate levels of training and documentation are provided to the clients as well as leads discussions with the client on overall reporting strategies and custom reporting projects.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop client reporting strategies for clients based on their current and future information requirements
- Develop project plans and manage client expectations regarding the delivery of products and services
- Work with customers to understand and capture business requirements for custom reporting engagements
- Assist sales management in coordinating and/or performing quarterly sales and product training, assisting in the planning of semi-annual sales meetings, participating in industry trade shows, association meetings and conferences
- Provide a wide variety of post-sales consulting services in a competent and professional manner to ensure client satisfaction and a successful implementation of RealPage Business Intelligence products
- Build and maintain positive relationships with client staff at all levels
- Articulate the Business Intelligence value proposition and develop credibility for its concepts and benefits across client organizations
- Train client resources on Business Intelligence concepts and RealPage Business Intelligence products (executive sponsors, operations management, trainers, and on-site personnel)
- Manage tasks to meet the assigned project timelines and milestones
- Coordinate with other RealPage teams as needed to facilitate overall client success
- Facilitate meetings and give presentations to clients and project teams
- Communicate the results efficiently to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support customers with business and/or technical questions
- Create detailed specifications documents based on client, industry, and company reporting guidelines

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within industry required
- Consulting experience highly preferred
- Previous experience in property management industry required, multifamily preferred
- Familiarity with RealPage products or other property management software required
- Strong project management skills required; ability to successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Must be able to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a sales environment a plus; knowledge of sales cycle
- Strong attention to detail
- Cognos report development (Version 10.1 preferred) experience desired
- Strong knowledge of Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with proven technical writing abilities
- Experience delivering professional presentations and dealing with senior executives
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- Some travel required
