The Data Engineer will join an established team of engineers tasked with integration, quality, and analysis of confidential retirement plan data. Using mature custom ETL tools as well as complex raw SQL queries, this team member will exercise Ownership, Creative Problem Solving, and a Bias for Action to ensure data is cleaned and loaded in a timely manner, as well as helping implement analytics and reporting initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years recent professional experience as ETL Developer / Data Engineer
  • Strong and advanced ability to read and write raw SQL queries for a complex PostGreSQL database
  • Python and Bash scripting to support data engineering tasks
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, analytics, BI approaches and tools, and pragmatic sensibility to apply and build right-sized solutions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally on a daily basis
  • Experience working securely with confidential data
  • BS CS or other STEM
