Job Description

We are looking for a part-time Inventory Analyst to help manage our inventory to optimize sales and ROI. This role involves no physical handling of inventory. The schedule for this team member is flexible to accommodate for their busy schedule.

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for actively monitor inventory to ensure consistent stock to meet demand while minimizing costs and inventory investment. The online marketplace changes constantly and existing items must be continuously audited to react to those changes. This team member will also be involved in analyzing new products for the company to sell.

This is an important position within Honest Office because the day-to-day decisions have a direct impact on the performance of the organization. This role requires an analytical and problem-solving mindset. Advanced computer skills are necessary to be successful in this position. The right candidate will be an entrepreneurial person who can work independently and enjoys performing a variety of tasks.

This role is part time and the schedule is flexible, but will involve approximately 20-30 hours of work each week. Although the schedule is flexible, the majority of work should be performed during normal business hours. This position is based at our office here in Unionville, CT and is not remote.

Duties:

  • Analyze inventory and sales trends
  • Monitor inventory turnover
  • Maintain and manage safety stock levels for all items
  • Continuous analysis of inventory processes and procedures in order to improve the accuracy, timely information exchange, and data accuracy of all inventory.
  • Audit inventory to ensure profitability of each SKU.

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel a must.
  • Bachelors degree is preferred.
